Radio commercials can be a bit tricky. You have to have a good message, compelling copy, the right emotions conveyed by the talent, and professional production to put it all together.
You really have a couple of options:
You can go into a recording studio and pay a lot of money for time and talent. Then you have to have someone to write the script and pay them. You have to pay someone to put it all together. This would get you a very professional commercial, but could cost you hundreds of dollars.
You can get the radio station you advertise with to cut the spot and they will do it for free. All radio stations have a production department that will gladly cut you a commercial. Your over worked, commissioned sales person will write your copy in their spare time between sales meeting and prospecting for new business. They should be able to throw something together in 15 minutes or so. Then the over worked, under paid production department can cut your ad as fast as they can because they just want to get done so they can go home or use the studio for their own freelance work. But remember it won't cost you a thing.
Here at Out of the Ashes, we can write your copy, voice your spot, produce your spot and get it to the appropriate radio station. And if you want to voice the spot yourself we have the unique ability to bring our studio to you. All for less than $100 a spot.
